I’m not sure what’s the best console to teach, but I can tell you what’s a really esoteric and hard to learn, and hard to teach control surface, at least for me: The Avid S1. I still haven’t mastered its use. So I’m still mousing on Pro Tools, and feeling pretty comfortable with it. That plus the new custom Keyboard Shortcuts, a long time coming, Avid!!!
